It is with great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Ilene Smuck (nee Taylor) at Fairvern Nursing Home, Huntsville on January 23, 2018 at the age of 88 years. Predeceased by her husband George Smuck. Dearly loved mother of Ann Smuck and Sandra Smuck (Yvon). Cherished grandma of Tara McIntyre, Barb Neave, Billy-Jean (BJ) Neave, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Sister of Mary Taylor and sadly miss by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents; Robert Taylor and Louise MacColl, and her siblings; Orphie Atfield (Robert), Annabella Taylor, Louise Taylor, Bobby Taylor and Mike Taylor. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place at Whispering Pines Funeral Home’s Crematorium (Powassan). Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be gratefully appreciated by her family. The family wish to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the Dr’s, nurses and staff at Fairvern Nursing Home for the care and compassion shown to our mom.
